Busch Gardens® Howl-O-Scream® returns as one of the best Halloween-themed events on the east coast.  A heightened scare factor will creep into six ghastly haunted houses, six nightmarish Terror-tories™, hair-raising escape rooms and frightening shows. 

The haunts happen every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and select Wednesdays and Thursdays through November 3.

The 2019 Stockley Gardens Fall Arts Festival includes over 130 artists, featuring pieces in various media including painting, glass, sculpture, photography, and jewelry. There will also be an Emerging Artist Exhibit, musical performances all weekend long, children’s activities, and a variety of food vendors serving everything from popcorn to pitas to crab cakes and more. The festival will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, and from noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 20. The artist award ceremony and after-hours party will take place Saturday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The award ceremony and party are also free and open to the public. Hunt Club Farm's Fall Harvest Festival features Virginia Beach's largest pumpkin patch, petting farm, hayrides, pony rides, inflatable amusements and all-new carnival rides - including a ferris wheel! Come enjoy our A-MAIZE-ING corn maze! In-maze photo ops, wagon rides, petting zoo, and corn cob shooter. For younger children we have sorghum maze, straw maze, straw slide and pedal tractors. A perfect day of fun for all families!

We have special options for groups of 15 or more, outside of our normal open hours. These special options require a reservation. Please call for details.

You won't be able to pass by our family-run bakery without stopping for a treat! Choose from homemade cinnamon rolls, breads and pies, sandwiches, and made on-site ice cream. A variety of produce and fresh-cut flowers grown right on our farm are also available.

Based upon the popular Jack-The-Ripper walks in London, guides take visitors to the haunted houses and mansions of Olde Towne. Costumed actors tell the legends of ghostly visits and things that go bump in the night.  The 45-minute tours depart the Trinity Episcopal Church graveyard at 7:00, 8:00 & 9:00 p.m. and end at Middle Street Park with cider and entertainment. Tickets are $10 per person.

Are you ready for a “wild” night of spooky animals, trail walks, pumpkin carving, pirates and princesses?

Night of the Living Museum returns to the Virginia Living Museum for its 20th year on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. This not-too-spooky Halloween event is for families with kids ages 12 and under.

Come dressed as your favorite character or wild animal. Trick-or-treat throughout the Museum as you walk through themed galleries filled with characters and decorations! Make creepy crafts and play Halloween games.

Enjoy live animal shows featuring fierce and not-so-fierce Halloween critters. See some of your favorite superheroes and dance the night away on our dance floor.

Learn the ways of spiders large and small as well as other creepy crawlies in the lab.

Visit the tooth fairy and other princess favorites. Venture into the cave to seek out pirates and their treats for young trick-or-treaters. Plus, take a nighttime hike along the outdoor boardwalk and see the Dinosaur Discovery Trail by night!

Explore fun science with “Not the Mythbusters” and be sure to look for the large inflatable characters.

See a family-friendly version of the spook-tacular laser show “Fright Light” for an additional fee.

Audiences will time warp back to the 1970s and shimmy the night away to the voices of Magenta, Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Riff Raff on the Theatre’s silver screen. Dust off your gold sequin top hat for some harmless musical fun — a delightful spoof of Hollywood horror movies and Old Dark House melodramas!
