The 46th Newport News Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 5 & Sunday, October 6, 2019 each day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Newport News Park in Newport News, Virginia. The festival, which attracts 35,000 visitors each year, will feature over 150 exhibitors showcasing art, crafts, heritage trade demonstrations, entertainment, children’s activities, and food.

Neptune Festival International Sandsculpting Championship

With a world-class venue, talent, and prize purse, Neptune's International Sandsculpting Championship has distinguished itself as a premier event unlike any other. It's been the signature event of the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival since its inception, and has grown to the most prestigious event of its kind in the nation. Williamsburg Winery

The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center is partnering with the Williamsburg Winery for “Vintage Perspectives,” the perfect pairing of art and wine. Participating members of WCAC are creating their unique perspective in 2-D or 3-D art of the winery’s vineyards, beautiful views, and architectural beauty. The exhibit opens to the public at the Williamsburg Winery on Sept. 7 and runs through Oct. 20. A lovely afternoon can be spent having lunch at the Gabriel Archer Tavern followed by a visit to the exhibit. Visitors should check in with the retail shop; they will be directed to the exhibit in the Winery’s Tasting Rooms. The Winery is open11:00am to 6:30pm Friday and Saturday; 11:00am-5:30pm Sunday through Thursday. Best time to see the exhibit are Saturday and Sunday. All artwork is for sale.

Buckroe Beach Farmers Market

Kick off the Annual Suffolk Peanut Fest with a festive parade through downtown historic Suffolk. The parade stages in the Lakeside neighborhood and proceeds down Washington Street, turning left onto North Main Street and concludes at Finney Avenue.
